Everyone had ideas and opinions on the topics covered and there was networking happening everywhere. A great opportunity to look at the shape of this sector in the future.

Lucy Watkins of - Applied Eventology - 11:25:34am Feb-3rd myM-link kept with tradition and chose an unusual venue to host this workshop and networking event. The Black Country Living Museum in Dudley provided a unique setting for the delegates who broke the ice with a traditional Victorian classroom lesson which included a 60 second spotlight for the guests to promote their products and services. Dance cards assisted the delegates with their networking which went on way past the event finish time.

Ken Findlay of - Kimal - 14:28:55pm Feb-2nd This year’s show has been fantastic for Kimal. We specifically designed an eye catching stand in a prime location to promote NxStage as well as Kimal and it definitely paid off, with the stand team being inundated with enquiries for all four days. It was a major honour for Kimal that Lord Darzi unveiled NxStage for us and then to receive three major awards during the week was brilliant

Innovation in Infection Control - Its catching!

Wed 02-Dec-09 - This was the first West Midlands infection control event hosted jointly by partners in the NHS and industry. The conference focused on priority issues within hospital infection control and the benefits that innovative technologies may provide.

Lucy Watkins of - Applied Eventology - 15:30:17pm Feb-1st A blend of private industry and NHS delegates attended this informative event that not only offered a unique networking opportunity but also allowed the two groups to come together to discuss the current issues and business opportunities in relation to hospital acquired infections. The conference had a vibrant buzz and feedback from delegates on the day was very positive.

David Nichols of - The Translation People - 15:32:37pm Feb-1st As an SME, the format of the British Pavilion made it possible for us to maintain a consistent, professional presence at the show. Our staff were able to attend appointments and give visitors to the stand extra attention, using MedilinkWM’s highly professional staff to represent us on our pod. We had some really useful meetings with UK officials at the show, which I know will develop into strong commercial opportunities. It just proves that ComPaMED really is the world’s meeting place for medical devices and technologies.

The UK pavilion stand partners took a number of lucrative enquiries resulting in a potential £1m worth of new business.

Caroline Herdman of - Primasil - 15:24:51pm Feb-1st Primasil exhibited at Compamed 2008 for the first time. As a company we found it very beneficial having a stand share with MedilinkWM. The show is very full on and intense with visitors having to endure long days and much walking, you want to achieve maximum attention of your potential customers and MedilinkWM’s location was very prominent.

We were in a good position and had Innovative product to show. Attendance may not have been as high as expected but nonetheless for a 5 day event there were few quiet moments. We received a good number of enquiries and have gained at least one piece of business from the event. We would attend again and may exhibit, possibly with physically large equipment.
